3 years later I find myself living and working in NEW YORK- The Big Apple

So It seems last visit to New York changed my life for better. I was so in love with the city, that I decided to move here. After I packed most of my luggage I said good bye to Melbourne. Off course Melbourne will be my city, but I now live and work in New York. I walk every day around and cannot stop taking photos. It's been a bit over a year now, and my camera is every day with me. Enjoy

New York

New York.

Breath taking.
I arrived in New York on the 7th of July.
Despite of being in New York in 2009 this time around this city seemed different. And I couldn’t realize why. Perhaps I was more mature person, who would understand the city better. Perhaps I have changed and became more of an artist than an athlete. Who knows, but I am in love with New York. I was staying in tiny room in Upper East. To rent a room in Manhattan is not cheap. And only you could afford one if either you are wealthy, or you are just staying for a month or two. In other case, you are better off looking for something more affordable, like..hmm who knows. Perhaps one day I will live longer in New York and will know better where is the best place to rent a flat, or a room, or whatever I can afford at that time.
As I was walking through the streets of Manhattan every day, I kept writing notes, words that were coming to my mind, and mostly that I felt with my heart. And when it comes to describing New York this is what I came up with.

New York-challenging, new, interesting, different, unique, cruel, hard, busy, scary, intimidating, colorful, brave, touristy, innovative, but mostly creative and encouraging!

Weddings

For many years I was so confused about weddings. People get married, than they get divorced. I wanted to have one, and than I didn’t. I thought I had to do it, I had to get married no matter what, and than I thought I don’t need to…I couldn’t understand why do we have to get married, why do we want to get married and how do we know that when we get up on the next day we won’t regret.

How will we look at the person next to us and promise him what we don’t even know, that tomorrow we will still have feelings for them? Do we make it our goal to get married, or we go with the flow and if it happens we go for it? But now, as a wiser person, I look at the weddings as the path of your own journey. If it happens to be married and than divorced this is how your journey goes. If you’ve never been married maybe this is how is meant to be.

Being married perhaps is a privilege, as long as you are happy, and you don’t lie to yourself and to your partner. Than a marriage is a blessing, staying true to your self is a blessing, whether married or solo, as long as you are true to your self and you stay happy…
